History Timeline

PK1 is memorizing a history timeline.
It has these really beautiful flash cards that incorporate the Bible and history.

PK2 listens to us do the cards because we do it during our Bible time every morning. A few weeks into it I realized that she knows them pretty well too. We are only up to the Founding of Rome, but I had to post her saying them, because it is hilarious.

Great job. My 5 yo has them down pretty well, too. It's so fun to watch them learn!

That is seriously the cutest thing I've ever seen. We love baby crab.

Where did you get the flashcards? They look like they would be fun.

Ellen, Here is a link to Veritas Press, the company that sells them. I don't have the CD or teacher's manuel, I actually got them used. We use them in conjunction with Story of the World history curriculum.

Now that you mention it, I think I saw them a while back in the Veritas catalog. They seemed a little pricey, but I can try to find them used, and maybe I'll get lucky! :) Or maybe I can make them...

We're doing Story of the World too, but I think we'll wait until next fall. We're starting kindergarten this summer with Michael. I love the Well-Trained Mind!

(By the way, I think we know each other. We go to NL too, and I work in the nursery, where I watched PK2. My husband teaches in the 3 year old classroom [Mr. Greg], so he probably had PK1. I know Kelli & Sara as well. I just don't think I ever really introduced myself. Sorry about that!)
